ALAN BENNINK

Alan Is EDTA’s Chief instructor, currently teaching EDM-T Safety & Continuing Education. Alan has a passion for teaching others about the industry and has recently started teaching the Elevating Devices Mechanic program at Mohawk College. Alan has also taught Computer Science, Math, Auto-Mechanics and Business at Smithville Christian High School. Alan has worked for Brock Elevator as an EDM-A Mechanic for the past 21 years.  Alan has Bachelor of Science in Math and Computer Science, a Bachelors of Education, a diploma in Electronics and is a member of the College of Teachers.

 

CHRISTOPHER MORRISON

Mr. Morrison is a 25+ year veteran of the insurance industry holding a Certified Insurance Professional designation a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and an Elevating Device Mechanics Licence and QEI designation from NAESA. Mr. Morrison has been the control adjuster for many elevator contractors for 18 years and counting has handled thousands of claims involving all kinds of elevating devices. He is also been retained as an expert witness for the claimant and building owner when not in a conflict. Mr. Morrison has been an assistant professor at Durham College teaching the apprenticeship program and has been teaching continuing education and safety training for EDTA for many years. The most recent audit conducted by TSSA of an in-class training session conducted by Mr. Morrison confirmed that “the auditor had a list of all requirements and confirmed that all sections were met in great detail” and the auditor did not leave any recommendations for improvement”.

RYAN LACROIX

Ryan Lacroix EDTA’s our newest instructor and is currently teaching the EDM-T safety course with us! Ryan is an A class elevator mechanic with over ten years experience in the field. He is also a certified member of the JHSC.
